I've been in fandom since i was very young, writing my first fanfic in middle school. I have a self published erotica novel and hope to write more original work someday but I prefer writing my OC/SI x canon romances.

I do selfship a lot more often lately but I don't write about it much and I'm not planning on posting much art here so it shouldn't come up super often. I might make a separate account for that.

I love sex and sensuality. And I mean LOVE IT. So my entire page is NSFW as a precaution basically. Who knows when it'll come up, I am sure I'll be talking about it.

I actually plan on this account being more of my other fandom stuff. Less fan works and more personal game reviews, music stuff, my subc explorations, etc. But I am also here to keep up to date with the fandom calendar so while I won't be posting on my own page about fanworks a lot, I'll still be around them, lol.

Anyways, as I get more settled I'll be back to this so I can update it and make it a better intro haha,

I used to be really good about lurking, keeping quiet, and not letting people know I was even there online. But now I find it hard not to comment on people being stupid. I know it's not helping and that people online are not going to change their minds in these aggressive "quips first" environment, but it became difficult ignoring them.

There was an extension that did wonders for me at one point. It turned off comment sections on all sites. The only reason I don't use it anymore is that I don't have this issue on the computer, only on the phone. And it was turning off AO3 comments which was not the best thing.

I enjoy being in my own space. I like having places where I can post what I like and whoever comes, comes. But nowadays people act like everything is performance for them specifically. It makes creating and being in communities very annoying. This place is extremely quiet which opened me up to using it like a diary of sorts. I don't know if that will come back to bite me. I hope it won't.

I'm comfortable in the fact that I'm a nobody. That no one really cares about what I do/say.

But I don't like that people like to invade pages just to be mean. They revel in harassing people. Whatever happened to minding your own business? I don't know... because I struggle doing it too anymore.

I'll be transparent, this is literally one of my favorite games. But the point of me reviewing games is to share my feelings about stuff not really to be objective, I'm not a professional. I won't hide when I love a game, so anyone can see my biases. Anyways, I consider this a sample of how I want to set up game reviews going forward.

Homicipher

Genre- Horror, Otome

Mod/cheats- No
I don't believe there are cheats or a modding scene for this game.

Gameplay- 5/5

Plays like a classic otome, has no minigames so can't judge that but there are QTEs and the deaths are quick so failures don't take forever. If you don't like VNs you won't like any of them so expect VN gameplay. The point of Homicipher, however, is the dictionary! The entire game is played in a made up language that neither you nor your character understands. As you play, you fill out the dictionary until you can understand everyone. I absolutely love this mechanic and idea! And it makes for some really funny screenshots because you can rewrite what the words mean so you can make the characters say anything.

When playing this with my friend, she struggled with the dictionary part. She was really focused on who she ended up with so she was frustrated with not understanding them. I feel like for others who don't come in for the puzzle/mystery aspect that might be them. Also she was very adverse to dying, but the game kinda wants you to die over and over to get the different dialogues and see what words mean.

It's literally one of the main points of the game and gameplay so you have to like figuring things out and not understanding.

Characters- 4/5
The characters are the main draw of Otome games so if they suck the game sucks. Luckily, the characters in Homicipher are fantastic. Your player character is her own character, not really an insert. Adami Adashino has her own mystery about her too that you learn as you play because she has amnesia! She is not useless either, she's constantly bashing shit in and wielding a weapon the whole game. But she is scared so she does hide and squeak a lot.

Then we go to the monsters. Oh yeah, all the interests are monsters/ghosts inside this haunted apartment complex on "the other side" that's an ever shifting labyrinth. There are 9 characters you get endings with. "Get endings" because as a game there's actually not a lot of overt romance. I believe the most overt romance is with the main interest. I don't want to spoil too much so I'll describe them and list their tags. Also they're fairly similar so unless stated otherwise they are tall as fuck. Actually I will also take a point away for lack of general diversity, everyone here is Japanese as far as we can tell. There are no female/fem presenting interests but there are female/fem presenting minor characters.

Mr. Crawling: Always crawling, absolute curtains of dark straight hair, no eyes, wears a tattered kimono.
  • Sweetheart
  • Pacifist
  • Protective
  • Clingy
Mr. Scarletella: Decked out in red, short shy-eyed hair, large soul -staring eyes, always carrying an umbrella.
  • Yandere
  • Doesn't take no
  • Stalker
  • Kidnapper
Mr. Silvair: Long silver hair, bandages over his eyes, pointed ears, open hakama and bare chest.
  • Doctor/Scientist
  • Serious
  • Gets shit DONE
  • Caring
Mr. Chopped: Only a head, long orange hair, usually seen with a friendly little hand, extremely expressive.
  • Cute, pouty boy
  • Secret side
  • Damsel
  • Close to Silvair
Mr. Stitch: Stitched together, shorter than the others, only one eye and no eyelids, short shaggy orange hair, always shirtless.
  • Prankster
  • Dangerous
  • Finders Keepers
  • Immature
Mr. Hood: No head, shadow body, cloak, massive great axe
  • Strong
  • Few words
  • Stoic
  • Knight-type
Mr. Gap: Only ever see his face and maybe his arms, appears in any gap.
  • Little shit
  • Fae-ass rules
  • Has his moments
  • Kind on occasion
Mr. Machete: HUGE and DIRTY, bandaged face, super sharp teeth, always with namesake machete (size of Buster Sword)
  • Aggressive
  • Thrill seeker
  • Knows when to quit
  • Strike first, questions later
Mr. Big-hea
d: Giant or literally a part of the building (kinda unsure), empty eyes, long white hair
  • Kidnapper
  • Sees you as a pet
  • Unkind
  • Cuteness aggression
Story- 3/5
With the escape on top of finding romance on top of learning who you really are, I like the story of Homicipher. My only gripe is that it fake-outs its ending like 3 times and Adami is always insisting the exit is her goal, even when you literally find it and go "hm... nah" each time. Give her something else to think about please lmao. I know it's like that so she has a reason to go towards the different endings but she could lose something and have to go back for it or decide to solve her weirdness or want to deal with Scarletella. Anything! My only gripe but it is a big one that I feel hinders the game.

That said, I like the various endings and the over all story. Again, less spoiler-y so there isn't a ton I can say.

Unsurprisingly my favorite endings are with Mr. Crawling, he's the main interest so he gets the most attention quality wise. The Scarletella endings are good too because of the implications of the character dynamic. And I love the Silvair endings because I am a freak for scientist/experiment pairing.

Mr. Big gets 1 real ending and it's definitely not for everyone. It's definitely not for Adami, she seems not to like it. But I believe I mentioned how the game isn't really romance focused. Scarletella and Crawling have some clearly romantic endings but the majority of the endings are platonic or even antagonistic haha. Big's ending is kinda antagonistic but I'd call it more... empty. He owns you now. Literally. And that excites some but is very lame for others. It was meh for me.

Final score! One of my favorite games' final rating is..........
12/15
